Students responded to the question-What will you do after the pandemic is over and it is safe? One of our Koepsell superheroes said, “Get on the airplane and go to Las Vegas to see my Papa." A fifth grade student replied, "I am going to scream when I go outside. Then I am going to go to my friend's house and scream with him, play video games, watch TV, and ride our bikes."
On May 15, 2020, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced the creation of the Return to Learning Advisory Council. The panel-which will be comprised of students, parents, frontline educators, administrators and public health officials-will be tasked with providing with recommendations on how to safely, equitably, and efficiently return to open schools. The governor said, "I want to thank all of the parents who have been burning the candle at both ends these last few months trying to help their kids with their schoolwork while juggling their other responsibilities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I know it hasn't been easy."
If you were not able to come to pick up your child's personal belongings/report card on the designated days, bags will be available for pick-up on Tuesdays from 8:00-1:00 until June 9, 2020. Thank you.
The attached flyer is information to help our Koepsell families access some support and assistance during this very uncertain time. We care about each of you and miss you terribly. When it is safe, we will all be back together again.
