Our Half day school schedule is 8:10 a.m. – 11:25 a.m.
Early Dismissal Days dismiss at 1:25 p.m..
The first bell rings at 8:05 a.m. and school begins promptly at 8:10 a.m..
Every minute of Instruction is precious!  Your child depends on you to
give them every advantage in life. Being on time is crucial to their
success now and in their future.
Please be aware excessive tardiness and or absences
may be referred to the Macomb County Attendance Officer.
All who arrive after 8:10 a.m. must enter through the front office doors
located off Raven Street.   Thank you!
Grades K-2 will enter in the front office doors off Raven Street.
Grades 3-5 will enter on the south side of the building off the parking lot
Students are to wait outside until they are let into the building at 8:05 am
where teachers will pick them up and escort them to their classrooms.
For the safety of the children, please enter and exit the parking areas
with extreme caution. There is no parking in the circle drives. You must
drop your child off and continue on. Always have your child exit the
passenger side of your car and not walk around the car. When there is
a car stopped in front of you letting students out, do not drive around
the car. We also request that students who ride their bikes to school
get off and walk their bike when on school property. Together we can
make our arrivals and dismissals safe and efficient for all.  Thank you!

Students who have a temperature of 100* or more are not
permitted to attend school. They may return 24 hrs after the fever is
gone and they have been fever free without the aid of medication.
Pink eye is contagious. Children diagnosed with pink eye must be
on antibiotic eye drops for at least 24 hrs before returning to school.
If a child is out of school due to a medical reason and have a doctors
note, the absence will be considered as documented in attendance reports.
Thank you!
Students are dismissed at 3:10 p.m..  If you are not able to pick your child up at that time, please enroll your child in Latchkey or make other arrangements.  There are Latchkey forms available in the office. For the safety of your child, if he/she has not been picked up at the end of the day, they will be sent to Latchkey and you will be responsible for the fees.  We want to work together to make sure all students are safe and supervised at all times.  Thank you!
Adult volunteers are welcome at Koepsell.  Anyone who would like to volunteer will need to first fill out the attached Volunteer Form and submit a copy of their current drivers license or state id.  This will then be sent to our Administration office where they will run a background check.  This is a security procedure that is mandatory in all South Lake buildings.  After the volunteer has filled out the form, they will be able to volunteer in our classrooms, although this must be arranged 24 hours prior to their visit with the teacher.  This form is also needed if volunteers would like to attend field trips as a chaperon.  The teachers will let you know if and when they need chaperons.  We thank you for following the procedures and we look forward to having you be a part of our days.  Thank you!
